Swaffham Golf Club
Our Dress Code

Dress on the Course

We’re proud of our traditions and the standards that help make golf such a respected and enjoyable game. We kindly ask all members and visitors to respect our dress code — designed to keep everyone comfortable, safe, and in keeping with the spirit of the club.

We ask that all players wear recognised golf attire while on the course, including proper golf shoes.

Tailored shorts are welcome and can be worn with golf socks of any length or colour.

To help keep standards consistent, please avoid wearing:

  • Trainers or non-golf-specific shoes

  • Cargo shorts or cargo trousers

  • Joggers, tracksuits or gym wear

  • Denim jeans

  • Collarless or sleeveless shirts

  • Sports jerseys or t-shirts with team logos or large numbers (Golf club logos are fine)

If you’re ever unsure, our Pro Shop team will be happy to offer guidance before you head out.

Dress in the Clubhouse

The dress code in the clubhouse is smart casual. You're welcome to wear smart denim jeans, but we kindly ask that you follow a few simple rules to keep the space comfortable for all:

  • No hats to be worn indoors

  • No wet outerwear or waterproofs inside

  • Please remove golf shoes before entering carpeted lounge areas
